Summer Camps
Since the year 2000, children and young people have been coming from all over Albania to camp at Crossroads. Crossroads was the first camp center in Albania and has been running summer camps for more than 25 years.
Every summer we host nearly 2000 Albanians at our camps! The children and young people and families come to camp from all over the country. Typically, 120 campers are at camp each week from June 15 through September 15.
Volunteers can come for 2-12 weeks.
We love having volunteers help at our camps! National and international staff work together to organize and run the activities. These include: ropes course activities, canoeing, archery, hiking in the beautiful Gramozi Mountains, swimming, sports (basketball, soccer, volleyball), miniature golf and craft activities. Knowing Albanian is not necessary as you will be working alongside our staff and most young Albanians speak English.
Our camps include:
- Junior camps (ages 9-11)
- Junior high camps (ages 12-14)
- High school camps (ages 15-18)
- Camp for children whose parents are in prison
- Camp for people who are sight impaired (Imagine playing soccer against a team that is blind while you are blindfolded!)
- Camp for special needs people - People with Downs Syndrome and other special needs
- Young Life Camps
- Soccer Camp
Our goal in the busy camping season is not only that kids would have fun and get to do activities that they have never done before, but that they would be able to have the Gospel of Jesus Christ clearly presented to them.

Volunteer at camp
120-150 children will be at camp each week! Each summer we have volunteers from all over the world; Bible School students stay for the summer or come back to help with the camps and High school and college-aged students come from the USA or Canada.
What YOU can do if you come for two weeks or two months:
- Work at the ropes course
- Help with canoes
- Teach archery
- Play volleyball and soccer with kids
- Work on dramas together with children that explain the love of Christ.

Donate
The ministry of Torchbearers in Albania is dependent on God’s provision. Most of children who come to Crossroads in the summer are on partial or full camp scholarships. Albanian and Kosovar Albanian Bible school students are not able to afford the full tuition. You can help by donating here.
Gifts and donations to Torchbearers – Albania are tax deductible in the United States.

Bible School
Crossroads offers both a 1st year 24-week course (two 12-week semesters) and the more advanced Ascend program. These programs run at the same time and in the same place and focus on in-depth studies of books of the Bible and theological topics. We also offer our spring school in Kenya.
