Dear friends of Crossroads,

Many of you have supported God’s work here in Erseka since the beginning, and we praise God for His faithfulness across the decades. In His kindness, since the early 1990’s we have seen people come to know Jesus, a church planted, a children’s home created, a sports ministry established, and a Bible School launched and continuing to flourish. Our God is faithful!

Now, the Lord has provided an opportunity for Crossroads to build even further on all that He has done already. In 2026, we prayerfully embarked on a development project that will increase the facilities of our campus and open up new opportunities for outreach and ministry. These plans include the development of a professional-grade soccer field for our growing sports ministry, and the redevelopment of a neighboring building into disability-accessible accommodations for families, Bible School students and campers. You can read more about our dreams for each of these projects below.

Would you prayerfully consider partnering with us financially to see these dreams come to fruition?  Read more about our development project below and thank you for your continued partnership in the gospel! Our God’s faithfulness through his people never ceases to amaze us!

Proposed Developments

Torchbearers Albania hopes to develop two sites neighboring our current facility: New Sports Field, and a new building renovation for Disability-Accessible Accommodations.

Proposed Developments

Torchbearers Albania hopes to develop two sites neighboring our current facility: New Sports Field, and a new building renovation for Disability-Accessible Accommodations.

1. Sports Field

We have two fields on our campus that are used year-round for sports ministries. The most significant of these ministries is Iron Sharp, an evangelistic soccer outreach to kids, teenagers and adults that runs six days per week in the soccer season. During the summer, we host two football-themed evangelistic camps, and our fields are also used for sports and games during every other camp we run.

We would like to develop a full-sized soccer field that would allow us to expand our Iron Sharp ministry. The development of professional-grade facilities would draw many more local children to our weekly training events and also enable us to host evangelistic football conferences for groups from all over Albania.

Crossroads has negotiated an agreement with the local council to convert public land neighboring our center into a new soccer field. We have also already received professional-grade artificial turf donated from Switzerland to resurface this field. It will cost approximately USD $40,000 to complete this project.

2. Renovation for New Accommodations & Facilities

Crossroads runs a minimum of 12 Christian camps each year between June and September, and a Bible School from October to April. In God’s goodness, our summer camps are at full capacity, catering for 100–130 campers each week. These campers are usually 50% Christian children, and 50% unbelievers. Our Bible School has been steadily growing, and the 2025/26 academic year was our largest class with 52 full-time students from 17 nations. As a result of this growth, Crossroads is in need of more accommodations for family camps and conferences during the summer, and for our Bible School in the winter. We also run camps for people with disabilities and are getting many more requests for this service. While we have worked hard to make sure that most of our present campus is disability-accessible, we recognize that we need more disability-accessible accommodations and bathrooms.

We are looking to purchase a building near our facilities. The primary option under consideration is an abandoned, government-owned building that sits between two buildings that Crossroads already owns and would be ideal for completing the block and expanding our accommodations. In October 2025 we applied for a permit for privatization and valuation. This application is in process, and we remain hopeful that a sale can be finalized in 2026. The sale and redevelopment of this building is estimated to cost approximately USD $305,000. This new building would enable us to expand our camp and Bible School ministries, particularly to people with disabilities.

Thank you for prayerfully considering partnering with us in our dollar-for-dollar campaign!
